A group of artisans from The African Bone Craft in Nairobi’s Kibera slums are using recycled animal bones, horns and brass metals to create handmade jewelry and decorations that are later sold to locals and tourists who would at times visit the workshop. The African bones started back in 2006 with a total number of 17 group members who both depend on the craft business for a living. They have persisted with the business despite challenges faced the recent being limited sales due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
