The authorities have handed over the remains of 21 bodies of the workers, who died in the Hashem Foods Ltd factory fire at Rupganj of Narayanganj on July 8, to their families on Saturday. The charred bodies were released from 12pm to 1pm after the forensic unit of the police’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) identified 45 out of 48 deceased workers through DNA analysis. However, CID is yet to confirm the identities of three more bodies.
