This year, its seventy-five years ago that Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp, the international symbol of the Holocaust, was liberated. To commemorate and reflect on the Dutch Holocaust victims, the light monument Levenslicht (Light of Life) was inaugurated in Rotterdam. The monument with a diameter of 20 meters consisting of 104.000 luminescent memorial stones, equivalent to the number of victims from The Netherlands and it's designed by Studio Roosegaarde on behalf of the National Committee 4 and 5 May. From January 22 to February 2, Light of Life monument will be exhibited in more than 160 Dutch municipalities, where Jews, Roma, and Sinti lived and were deported.
