Every day hundreds of people climb Mount Batur to watch the sunrise. Mount Batur is an active volcano located in the island of Bali in Indonesia and its last eruption was recorded in 2000 and its highest peak sits at 1717 meters (5,633 ft.) above sea level where people can have breath-taking views of Lake Batur, Mount Abang and Mount Agung. When the weather permits, it is possible to see Mount Rinjani, an active volcano on the neighbouring island of Lombok. Climbing Mount Batur generally takes about two hours and a half and it’s the most visited places in the mountainous area of Bali.
