As Many of the products have been regulated by the government of President Nicolas Maduro and the exchange control imposed more than 10 years ago. The country is relaying heavily on imported food, but as the Venezuelan currency is worthless and it cannot afford to import food as it has been doing for the past decade and food shortage is huge problem resulting more than 80% of the population eat only once a day.
