Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah who has been under house arrest since the central government scrapped Article 370 which grants the special status has been slapped with charges under Public Safety Act that gives the administration the right to detain a person without trial for two years. Abdullah’s residence has been declared as a subsidiary jail, an official said.
