The Uru or Uros are indigenous people of Peru and Bolivia, who live on an approximate hundred floating islands, made of Totora reed, in Titicaca Lake near Puno. There are about 2.000 of them. The larger islands house 10 families while the small ones can be of only 30 metres wide hold 2 or 3 families.
