Florida Health Department host a hepatitis A vaccination event in response to the hepatitis A outbreak in the State of Florida and the August 1, 2019 declaration of a public health emergency in the state. As of July 1, 2019, twenty-seven states have experienced outbreaks of the disease, with Florida having 2,586 reported cases, the third highest in the United States, resulting in 31 deaths.
