The Luigi Einaudi Foundation hosted an international conference in Rome on July 17, 2026, titled "On the Side of the Iranian People," focusing on the severe human rights crisis and state repression in Iran. Key speakers—including National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) President-elect Maryam Rajavi, former Senator Andrea Cangini, Senator Giulio Terzi, and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani—systematically condemned the clerical regime's escalating wave of arbitrary detentions and political executions. The international delegation demanded an immediate halt to capital punishment, called for absolute sanctions against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) for systematic abuses, and endorsed the NCRI's Ten-Point Plan to establish a secular, democratic republic rooted in fundamental human rights and gender equality.
