Diesel and petrol prices surged in Kenya following the latest increase announced by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) for the May 15 to June 14, 2026 pricing cycle, amid supply disruptions linked to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The hike triggered a transport sector strike that grounded public transport across several Kenyan cities, leaving commuters stranded.
