The start of the election campaign for the Andalusian elections on 17 May saw the participation of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, the candidate for President of the Andalusian Regional Government, María Jesús Montero, and former Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. According to the polls, the Spanish People’s Party could secure an absolute majority in the Andalusian elections.
