Polish citizens from all over the country march through the streets of Warsaw to celebrate Independence Day. The event gathers tens of thousands of participants, with patriotic Poles gathering to celebrate. Many families bringing their children. The march has religious undertones with much religious symbolism seen in flags and banners. Many far-right and fascist organisations also march. The march itself was initiated by far-right groups and has been marred by controversy as it is seen by many as promoting fascism, antisemitism and racism. This year, the crowds gathered at Warsaw's Roman Dmowski roundabout and marched towards the PGE National Stadium.
