The Anti-government group rally gathered at the Democracy Monument and proceeded to the Thai Government House, in response to a week of daily new highs in death toll and patients record soaring to more than 10,000 per day. The protesters demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha and his cabinet, defying the government’s ban on public gatherings. The riot police began firing the water cannon and massive amount of tear gas was used to crackdown a protest.
