Anti-military coup protesters took to the streets of Mandalay to protest against the military coup and demanded the release of Aung San Suu Kyi. The police and military responded by firing live rounds, killing two protesters and injuring many others.
Myanmar's military detained State Counsellor of Myanmar Aung San Suu Kyi on February 01, 2021 and declared a state of emergency while seizing the power in the country for a year after losing the election against the National League for Democracy (NLD).
