Since it is the world’s biggest multi-day walking event, the Four Days March is seen as the prime example of sportsmanship and international bonding between military servicemen and women and civilians from many different countries. The participants in the 103rd started The Four Days Marches in Nijmegen, at the Wadren at 4am, crossed the Waalbrug (the legendary bridge of Nijmegen), and they passed for Elst (the city of the day), where the official colour was blue. The day was cold, with lower temperatures than other years.
