The small village of Rebollo de Duero, north of Spain, celebrated the old tradition of 'Las Luminarias' with a big bonfire. The tradition, which is hundreds of years old, is meant to purify and protect, with a big bonfire, the animals and people in the coming year. Hundreds of villages and towns of Spain celebrated this tradition during centuries, but nowdays the celebration has been lost in many of them.
