On August 3, 2014, the Islamic State destroyed the city of Sinjar in its attempt to exterminate the Yazidi minority. Four years later the Yazidis commemorate the anniversary of the Sinjar massacre. More than 300,000 Yazidis were forced to flee, now most of them live at the Zakho refugee camp, very close to the Turkish border. This is the 4th anniversary.
