Traditional cotton spinning artisans arrived in Agartala, marking the onset of winter in the tiny Northeastern state, these migrant artisans come from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and other states. During every winter they offer to spin cotton in blankets and quilts, which gives it a fluffy feel. Traditionally, they walk in rural Hamlets in winter with their signature instrument - the spinning bow.
