Environmental and animal welfare groups lead by the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) held a program in front of the Japanese embassy in Pasay City, Metro Manila, for the end of the whale and dolphin hunt by the Japanese government which kills hundreds of marine life for scientific purposes. The groups also called for the banning of the importation of beluga whales for shows and profit.
